Summary: This was not our first time here but it will be our last. The check in experience was slow and impersonal and the young man who checked us in was scruffy, glum and detached and lacked interpersonal skills. Our room was freezing cold and we had also requested a parking spot at the time of booking. We were told that we hadn’t done this. Yet in our notes in our booking it was clear. Yet, the scruffy man argued the point regardless of being shown it in our booking. The room was clean. We did try to get a drink at 2.50 pm but licensing prevented this as the school is next door. We went down the road to a nice beer garden. Something has changed about the Convent in our last couple of stays. We cant quite work out on what it is but we have decided we will look at alternative stays in future.
